By creating an account or using Exchange Backlink ("the Platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan subscribers.
Exchange Backlink is a platform that facilitates 3-way backlink exchanges between website owners. We use an algorithmic matching system to pair websites with compatible partners for mutually beneficial link placements. We do not create, host, or directly control any backlinks placed between users.
You are responsible for:
Inflated or falsified metrics will lower your trust score and may result in account suspension or permanent ban.
You agree not to:
All websites must pass ownership verification (meta tag method) and admin review before entering the matching pool. We reserve the right to reject any website that does not meet our quality standards, without obligation to provide a detailed reason. Approved websites may be re-reviewed at any time if concerns arise.
When you accept a backlink exchange deal, you commit to:
Failure to meet these obligations will result in trust score penalties. Repeated violations will result in account suspension.
The platform maintains a trust score for each user based on deal completion, link longevity, and reports received. This score affects your matching priority and eligibility. We reserve the right to adjust the trust score algorithm at any time. Trust scores are not transferable between accounts.
Paid plans (Pro at $9/month, Agency at $29/month) are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are in USD and exclude any applicable taxes.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time via the billing portal. Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
Refunds: We offer a 7-day refund policy for first-time subscribers who have not meaningfully used paid features. Contact us within 7 days of your first charge to request a refund.
Plan changes: Upgrading takes effect immediately. Downgrading takes effect at the next billing cycle.
While 3-way link exchanges are generally considered lower-risk than direct reciprocal exchanges, no link building strategy is 100% immune to search engine penalties. By using Exchange Backlink, you acknowledge that:
The platform, its design, matching algorithm, and codebase are the intellectual property of Exchange Backlink. You retain ownership of all content you submit (website descriptions, topic tags, messages). By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to display and use it solely for operating the platform.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.
Exchange Backlink is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for: SEO outcomes, deal disputes between users, downtime, data loss, or any indirect damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
Disputes between exchange partners should first be raised through the deal messaging thread. If unresolved, contact us at contact@exchangebacklink.com — we will review and mediate as appropriate. Our decisions regarding trust scores and account status are final.
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
